Hoar Frost is that pretty white coating of ice crystals that forms when dew or fog freezes on the branches. It's really quite lovely. I think that the sight of sparkling white branches against a bright blue sky is one of the most beautiful sights in winter.
I took this picture this afternoon. For the record, it's March 25, 2011. I haven't done anything other than upload it. The absence of colour is accurate.
This is spring.
Everything is covered with frost, the sky and ground are the same dull grey colour, and it's been like this every day for a solid week.
There's only one thing to do.
