Really short on words tonight. I've been swarmed by a large force of invading viral hoards who have overcome my exhausted defenses and swarmed through my system. (I'm sick. I've been sick for 4 days and nights. I am slightly, but not significantly better. I may be sick for a while.)
Have survived a LOT of stocking stitch to get to about 3" from the bottom hem. This picture is quite washed out. The true colour is brighter. I've been questioning it's wearability even though I love it. Then again, I have seen lots of little limey cardis in stores so maybe I should just pick this up again and finish it already.
This is complete but needs blocking. I added an additional repeat to the pattern so there are 9 bands across. I made it with Kidlin Pixie (now Louet Kidlin) from the stash in a colour called "Grasshopper". It's quite a pale spring green. This is the shawl I was knitting at the conference a while ago.
This pattern is a free download from Knitting Daily. It's Cubist Socks by Cookie A. The arrival of this pattern coincided exactly with the day we started doing 3D drawings in grade 9 geometry. I had no choice but to start them. The yarn is Regia Silk 4ply and this picture makes it much bluer than it really is. I may even keep these. Or not. We'll see how they turn out. Apparently the pattern is not very stretchy and given my shapely calves, may not be a fit. I've gone up to a 3mm needle for a little more flex but we'll see.
There you go. Knitting content.
Oh, one more thing.... I'm going to go to Olds Fiber Week on June 26. Not taking any classes but am looking forward to the merchant's market and a chance to meet Rabbitch in real life. Send me an email if you think you'd like to come along for the day.
